Presidents Report:- Don Cameron
Don thanked everyone for giving him the pleasure of being associated with the band and that he gets great pleasure in being a member and our President.
Chairmans Report:- Bob Eves
The Chairman felt that it had been a quiet year for events. We had the regular gigs as well as having a strained relations for Salisbury. He felt that we must make greater efforts to get new gigs other than the ones that we already have. He thanked, on the bands' behalf, Adrian Hart for his great work on getting the band on to the web site.
He noted that membership of the band had remained fairly static over the last year and noted that there were issues regarding standard of dress when playing at gigs. He stressed that it was of great importance that the band turned out all looking exactly the same and were aware of what they should be wearing. This would be taken up with the Band Major every 6 months with formal discussions on the dress code and signals when marching.
Overall he felt that the band had managed to maintain good turn-outs for all of the gigs which had been enjoyed by all.
Pipe Majors Report:- Julian Smart
Julian was in full agreement with regard to the gig situation and noted that some events had been a little short of players.
He felt that we should seriously look into doing some charity events, free of charge, as this would be good P.R.
Ideas would be welcomed for new gigs and that the exucotive committee should meet once a month to discuss band matters.
Finally, he would like the band to have a week-end away for 2007.
Chanter Tutor:- Michael Weymss
Was well pleased with the progress made by those attending his tutorial sessions and felt that there would be four extra pipers ready for next year.
Treasurers Report:- Chris Cooknell
The finances of the band were looking healthy in that after quite a large expenditure over the year we had broken even and had a good bank balance.
Lead Drummers Report:- Mitch Khan
Mitch thanked the executive committee for the purchase of new drums which have proven to be excellent and enhanced the drum cores tone.
Mitch also expressed his thanks to Billie McCrombie for his sterling work and assistance to the drummers, and, at the same time, felt that the band had done well and played well
Secretary's Report:- Ian Wyllie
Apart from a problem with his P.C. during October he was quite happy overall.
He hopes to get up a new band list a.s.a.p. and will endeavour to keep the band informed at all times of events and information regarding the band.

Motions And Proposals:-
Chanters:- Ian Wyllie proposed, and was seconded by Allan Mckellar that every piper should receive one new reed per year from the band. The motion was carried unanimously.
Hose:- Michael Weymss proposed that the band should wear cream hose as the vast majority of competing bands wore such hose. He said that it looked much more professional.
The Chairman questioned what the standard of dress might look like and it was suggested that the band purchase in bulk to ensure that every member had the same hose and so avoid a variation of colour.
It was decided that the executive committee would take away the request and discuss at a later date and come to a decision taking into account the following. 1. All hose must be the same
2. All hose must be purchased from the same supplier
3. Green hose doesn't give the same professional impression
4. Band buys bulk to to ensure uniformity
5. Gillie Brogues, some wear, some don't
6. Sock tops must be the same
7. Adrian Hart to present list of band kit
8. To be noted that there was a unanimous request for cream hose
Waistcoats:Carol Varney and Adrian Hart proposed that the band should wear waistcoats when the weather was warm or hot. They could also be useful when it was very cold.
Whilst no further work had been done regarding the above since the last A.G.M. it was decided that the executive committe would take this on board and discuss at their next meeting. Noteing that a majority wanted waistcoats.
Monthly Attendance:- Di Holl proposed that the band should re-inact it's once a month regular attendance by all members. The exec. com. felt that this would also be a good opportunity to hold regular meetings.
It was agreed that an e-mail should go out to all members regarding this proposal and to the exec. com.
Band Music:-One member had asked for the band list of melodies with the sheet music for each melodie. It was agreed that Mitch Khan would undertake this and compile.
David Leishman also raised the question about new marching tunes for the band. The executive committee agreed to look into this.
A.O.B.:- Due to a well run meeting, this was allowed and the following broached.
More Gigs. exec.com must look into and discuss
Subs for 2007. Treasurer suggested £50. Mitch Khan and Michael Weymss suggested that we should only pay subs after a poor year. Another suggestion was that no subs should be paid, Don Cameron suggested a reduced sub. Another was that we should still pay the full sub. The final proposal was that no subs should be paid, put forward by Michael Weyms and seconded by Simon Hart. The motion was carried with two abstentions.
Debtors. Last years debtors would be chased up for their subs.
Band Week-end away. To be discussed by exec. com.
Lottery Fund. To re-apply in 2007/8.
